On August 22, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced that three convenience store companies, Seven-Eleven Japan, FamilyMart, and Lawson, will begin a demonstration experiment for joint delivery. For one week from August 1, the delivery trucks will be sent from each company's distribution bases to XFRONTIER, a joint delivery center of Sagawa Express (Koto Ward, Tokyo). They will then deliver beverages, confectionery, daily goods and other items to a total of 40 stores in the bay area of Tokyo.
